I have a couple of really exciting announcements I got to make this week! You can read about them over on my instagram, but I thought I would share them here as well!

I recently had the opportunity to chat with Wendy who is a writer for QNotes, a Charlotte based outlet for all your queer-centric art, entertainment, and news! They had apparently been hearing a lot about me (thanks y’all) and reached out to do an interview. It will be live on their website next Thursday (September 11th) and in print on the 12th. It was such a pleasure to talk about what I’ve been up to, what music means to me, and what makes doing music such a passion.

I also was awarded a grant this week! Y’all I sent in my application a while ago and had first figured I didn’t get it and secondly forgotten ALL about it. So that was a very nice, very surprising e-mail to come across. Charlotte is Creative awards micro grants they call H.U.G.s (that stands for “Helpful Unfettered Gifts”) for people who are pursuing a particular artistic goal. With my H.U.G. I’ll be searching out a venue to play an intimate show this November. I’ll share much more about that as it gets closer but for now…I’m just so excited to receive the recognition for my work and support from the arts community in my city.
