Ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls! Lhasa apsos and golden-doodles! Birds and squirrels!

I think I’m done now…

Welcome to this episode of “Maggie Shares Exciting News and Fun Events”.Are you intrigued? I know I am and I already know what the exciting news is! Let me start by saying, you may or may not know this: I have produced a number of CDs in the past. My most recent one was recorded in 2013 I believe at a little house in Boone, NC (shout out to the ladies of El Dorado who put up with my incessant music making). Since then I have done some performing and what not, finished my ASU degree, completed a GCU certificate in leading worship, and been involved in various other things, all while sitting on a deep-seated dream that no one knew of outside my immediate family and a very chosen few. As of December 2017, a new thing has happened. I have become something I’ve wanted to be for a long time and I am excited to share that with you all today.

Folks…I wrote a book.

A whole book. I wrote a “Christian Living” book, if it has to have a label. It does have to have a title and, as you can see, the title is No Camping: Refusing to Stay in Fear. In my book, I discuss the human emotion of fear and the part that it does play in the lives of Christians and the part that it should play in our lives. I wrote this book because I found some truths in the Bible that God illuminated for me and I am sure that other people need them as much as I do!

Which brings me to the second thing we need to discuss: an event! I’m going to have a book release/album release/look what God’s been doing in my life/celebrating all the things…thing. On January 27th from 6:30-8:00 at Calvary Baptist Church in Mt. Airy I will have my book available for purchase and I will also have a new CD entitled “Church in Broken Places”. Come out and let’s talk about fear; let’s talk about what God is up to in our world; let’s talk about music; let’s talk about lots of things and laugh together and pray together and maybe even sing together!

I look forward to seeing you on the 27th and celebrating all that God is getting ready and the wonderful gifts Jesus provided us with for when fear becomes too much!

Be His.
